Digital Product DesignEnhancing the self-service capabilities for both monitored and unmonitored Enterprise customers, enabling them to independently
remote restart devices via the Enterprise portal. This rollout occurred in phases: initially focusing on single modem restarts,
expanding to include multiple devices, and finally incorporating bulk restarts along with additional devices like Access Points
(APs) and routers. Key features include displaying modem status, reboot status, uptime duration, and recommendations for when a
restart is advisable. The portal also logs the details of the last restart, including the initiator, and offers the ability to schedule
future restarts. Restarts are subject to API limitations, and we ensure a robust escalation path for failures, providing retry
and power cycle instructions. Additionally, users can update a modem’s MAC address, guaranteeing accurate device restarts.

Exploration
Creative design explorations were rigorously pursued to identify the optimal user experience and interaction solution for
remotely restarting devices. This process was significantly guided by the capabilities of backend APIs and development feasibility.
Design Solutions
Device modules were designed to display device status, MAC address, and offer options for remote or scheduled restarts.
Additionally, a detailed device information page was created, including a restart history log. Restart actions can be
performed by users with appropriate permissions within the enterprise organization or by internal portal agents.
Navigating Restart Failures
Guided solutions for user actions following a restart failure, taking into account API constraints. Limiting users to
three restart attempts per device daily and signaling their second and final attempts. Once this limit is reached, manual
power cycling instructions are provided and a support ticket is submitted for users with proactive monitoring enabled,
streamlining issue resolution while optimizing system integrity and user engagement.
Multi-Device Restart
Building on the foundation of single restart functionality, the addition of a new page offers users comprehensive
visibility of all restarts—queued, in progress, completed, and failed—over the past 30 days. This feature enables
users to search for specific devices, take subsequent action steps, and maintain oversight of both past and active
restarts, with the option to download a history log for detailed analysis.

Alert Notification Module
An interactive "Pop-tart" notification module was developed to provide users with real-time updates on active restarts as they navigate the
site. During the design phase, versatility was prioritized to ensure this pattern could be utilized across various features with the common
goal of notifying users of important updates.

MAC Address Update
Users can now identify and rectify missing MAC addresses, streamlining the submission process. Upon review completion, users are promptly notified,
enabling seamless device restarts. Device restarts are contingent upon accurate MAC address information, ensuring operational integrity.
